Tim Allen is an American actor who portrays Jason Nesmith, and Nesmith's character Captain Peter Quincy Taggart, in the 1999 film Galaxy Quest. Allen appears in the Galaxy Quest documentary Never Surrender.

Allen is best known for portraying Tim "The Toolman" Taylor in the '90s television series Home Improvement, and for voicing the character Buzz Light Year in the Toy Story film franchise.
